Adoptable Dogs

“Mia”
2 year-old, female, 65 lbs, Pitbull Mix
dog & kid friendly, leash & crate trained, vaccinated, spayed
Mia was rescued from the streets of Downtown LA and has come such a long way. She’s about 1.5 years old, weighs around 65 lbs, and is the total package—smart, athletic, and incredibly loving.
After being rescued, Mia went from foster home to foster home. She lived in a foster home with kids (ages 8 and 10) for a few months and did amazing.
She then went into professional training to help her leash skills and has now completed a full program valued at over $3,000. She’s currently living at a professional trainer’s boarding facility in San Diego, where she continues to thrive. Whoever adopts her will receive free training sessions with her trainer to ensure a smooth transition and continued success.
Mia was originally enrolled in training to work on leash reactivity and tugging, but she has made huge progress. She’s now e-collar trained, walks beautifully on leash, and follows structure and rules like a pro. She thrives with clear guidance, structure, and routine, and she does best with an experienced, confident (alpha) human who can maintain the boundaries she’s learned.
She’s got a dominant personality and is very much a natural leader, so she’ll need someone who can be her calm, assertive guide.
While she is a high-energy, athletic girl who loves running, hiking, beach trips, and playing fetch, she also knows how to switch off and relax. In the home, Mia is quiet, cuddly, and loves lounging on her bed. She is also amazing in her crate—she sleeps there peacefully and will hang out quietly when left alone.
Mia enjoys playing with other dogs but has a very dominant play style—she loves to wrestle and plays rough, so she’d do best with another playful, balanced dog or could be a great solo dog too. She’s still young and learning how to navigate the world, but her progress so far has been nothing short of impressive.
Mia is looking for a forever home that will keep up her training, give her the exercise she needs, and most importantly, offer the love and leadership she craves. In return, she’ll be your most loyal, affectionate, and fun adventure buddy.
Are you ready to meet your new best friend? Mia is waiting patiently in boarding for her forever home—come give her the life she deserves!

“Elphaba”
8 months-old, female, 10 lbs, Chihuahua Mix
kid friendly, dog friendly, potty trained, vaccinated
Elphaba was rescued from a backyard breeding situation in South LA, along with her sister Galinda and two other siblings (who have since been adopted!). When we found them, they were living outdoors, covered in fleas, and in desperate need of care. Thanks to a growing team of fosters and donations, we’ve saved four pups so far and there’s four left to save. Elphaba is one of the lucky ones now ready to find her forever family!
Elphy (as her foster family lovingly calls her) may be small, but she’s full of heart. She’s a curious, brave little soul who is learning to trust the world more each day. At first, she can be a bit shy—but give her a little time and patience, and she’ll blossom into a sweet, affectionate companion.
She’s currently living with kids and other dogs and doing wonderfully. She’s working on potty and crate training and making great progress. Elphy would thrive with someone who’s excited to help her continue building confidence and explore the world—whether that means cozy nights on the couch or fun outdoor adventures.
She’s still finishing up her vaccines, and she’ll be spayed once that’s complete.

“Galinda”
8 months-old, female, 10 lbs, Chihuahua Mix
kid friendly, dog friendly, potty trained, vaccinated
Galinda was rescued from a backyard breeding situation in South LA, along with her sister Elphaba and two other siblings (who have since been adopted!). Galinda is so so loving, friendly, and affectionate. She is smart and picks up on things fast – like potty training! She absolutely loves being around people and playing with her foster siblings – both dogs and humans).
She’s currently living with kids and doing wonderfully. Galinda would thrive in a home that can continue working with her on crate training, take her for adventures, and shower her with the love she deserves. Since she loves being with people and meeting new people so much, she would either do best in a home that can bring her everywhere with them or someone who is willing to crate train and make sure she doesn’t develop separation anxiety.
She’s still finishing up her vaccines, and she’ll be spayed once that’s complete.

“Apollo”
5 years-old, male, 50 lbs, English Bulldog Mix
dog friendly, potty & crate trained, vaccinated
Apollo has been through a lot, but you’d never know it by the way he wags his tail when he sees you.
We rescued this sweet, smushy-faced boy from the streets of Downtown LA, where he’d been passed between several unhoused individuals. We know of at least three different people who cared for him as best they could, but street life took a toll. When we found him, Apollo was overheating, struggling to breathe, limping, and suffering from extreme allergies.
Since coming into our care, Apollo has begun the beautiful process of decompressing—and wow, has he shown us what a loving and gentle soul he is. He adores his crate (his safe space), loves being pet, and will happily wag his little tail to say hello. While he’s not super active, Apollo absolutely lights up around other dogs and thrives in their company.
He’s around 5 years old and weighs in at a compact, muscular 50 pounds—a true “dense boy” with a small frame and a big heart. His limp (from a back knee issue) has improved with rest and anti-inflammatories, and we’ll continue monitoring it. He’ll be neutered next week.
Apollo especially loves men (all of his previous caretakers were male), but he’s open to anyone with a kind heart and a gentle touch. He’s still in the healing process, but he’s already made huge strides—and we know he’ll make someone or some family very, very happy.
